VeggiePatch is a family initiative in the Western Cape. After living in New Zealand and noticing the many bountiful vegetable gardens in the suburbs, it became our desire to encourage people in South Africa to do the same.

With the generous African sunshine all we needed was a corner of the garden. However living in Betty's Bay we had to contend with less than ideal soil conditions and strong winds.

After doing some research we discovered the EarthBox® and promptly ordered 10 of them and started planting indoors. Soon we only had 3 left due to friends buying them off us. Having ripe heritage tomatoes growing in your dining room made them realise that anyone can do it.

Our desire is to see the growing and eating of fresh, healthy produce becoming the norm in our modern society.
